Enjoy sitting out on our sunny terrace at the Mooserboden Summit Restaurant, or take a hike out to the Fürther Moar Alm where you can soak in the splendid scenery of the Glockner mountains and the Hohe Tauern National Park region.

A visit to the Glockner-Kaprun power station is always rewarding – the nature of the Kaprun Valley and the technology of the Tauern Power Station, with a story that is richer than you could possibly imagine, is guaranteed to leave you – as it has the 9 million tourists who came before you – with impressions that are quite extraordinary. At the Mooserboden, you will be able to enjoy glorious views of the glaciers in the Upper Kaprun Valley in the Hohe Tauern National Park, walk across the Moosersperre dam to the “Power and Ice” visitors center, or take part in a tour of the dam itself, during which you will get to see its inner workings and also learn about all the safety measures which were taken in its construction. Information center in the generator building, incl. chance to look out onto the machine floor.
